Troubleshooting a Mateksys F405 wing V2 rover joystick in Mission planner

Hi,

I’m working on a project that uses Drone engage to control a ground “rover” via 4G.

My rover has a Mateksys F405 wing V2 FC running ardupilot.

I know this is not directly Mission planner- But, I want to make sure I understand the MP side of things to better pinpoint where the problem is.

Everything works, I can connect and drive the rover around via 4G- except- I have a couple of servos on this rover that I need to adjust and hold position. I want to use the knobs on a Flysky 6Xi TX 10channel, so I can tweak the servo position, and have it stay put, but, I can’t seem to get them to function. I have only been able to assign them to my gimbal channels, which is not idea since they spring return.

In mission planner, Other Axis (1 through 4) work- and I can adjust the setpoints, trim, etc. Also, the 3 position switch on the controller works for 2 positions in mission planner, regardless of what channel I set it to. (ie, if I set it to be channel 7 in the TX, channel 7 in mission planner works for “on/off”) No other switches- or the knobs, can I get to show working in the servo setup in mission planner.

I have been able to “see” the switches in question working in the joystick/ buttons setup- but, I can only assign certain functions to that, seems like Mission planner specific macros- I cant assign them to a servo channel.

The creator of Drone engage is going to look into it as a possible bug, but he is a busy guy and it’ll be July before he can.

What can I do to check/confirm where my issue lies? The idea I have is to go back to how I initially tested my Flight controller/ mission planner setup, which was binding the TX to an RX, and wiring my RX via serial to the FC- then, configuring channels in mission planner to see if all of the switches work.

Is there something about how the “additional” channels of this controller plays with Mission planner that I am missing? I find it odd that the 3 position “mode” switch works, but not the others.

Thanks for any thoughts on this issue! I’ll take any ideas or help I can get to get this sorted out.
