Tracker-4.7.0-beta1 has been released for beta testing and can be downloaded using Mission Planner, QGC or directly downloaded from firmware.ardupilot.org.
The enormous list of changes vs 4.6.3 are in the ReleaseNotes and copied below. Please help us by giving the beta a try and reporting back on any issues you face. Issues are being tracked here. This is the first beta so while we think it is all safe (many devs have been flying it) please be careful!
As per previously releases there should be no need to backup and restore parameters as part of the upgrade. This should all be handled automatically.
Warnings
- ARMING_CHECK has been replaced by ARMING_SKIPCHK. With the new parameter you select the checks that can be skipped.
- Boards which store logs to flash (aka “LittleFS”) instead of SD cards will have their logs erased as part of the upgrade. Please download logs before upgrading.
- If you see a “terrain data expired, possible errors” arming check message, please delete the terrain data from the autopilot (see blog post here)
- QGC may complain about the parameter name changes but we hope to resolve this soon
