Has anyone tried to install a toggle safety switch on its drone?
I would like the replace the button to a switch so it would be clear if the drone is can be armed or not.
I was thinking on a mini knob switch.
Most GPS modules have safety button on them. On the GPS port, one pin assigned to safety button input. You can remove it from the button and wire to your switch.
But why do you want that? This doesn’t mean that vehicle can be armed. You need to wait the solid green (pre-arm checks). Also if you don’t want safety button procedure each time, you can disable it, but not recommended.
Set a GPIO to button and set that to control the motor interlock, that way you dont have to mess with the safety switch.
