TF-Luna added to a small hexacopter

I have read endless hours on this subject but I havent seen anything recent…

The TF-Luna lidar unit, seems like it may be a bit on the buggy side?
I have a few laying around and figured that I might put one on a 5in hexa.

Is the issues that I read about with this unit mainly user error?

Hi, I searched about this for a while and reached at this conclusion:
TF-Luna LiDAR module is generally reliable for short-range distance measurements, I see thats 8m indoor and 3m outdoor. Some issues reported are often due to user error or integration challenges rather than hardware faults, But one or two forums also reached at a confusing conclusion about user error or hardware fault. At least i came to know about such probs in my search, Common problems include incorrect wiring (e.g., TTL vs. USB logic levels), inadequate power supply, or improper configuration of serial parameters (baud rate, data format).

When properly connected and configured, the TF-Luna performs well within its 0.2–8 m range, though it may struggle with reflective or very dark surfaces.

Please Also Dont completely rely on my search as i am an evolving beginner in this field . I hope my research is on the point…
