Terrain following / run into

Hi there,

wanted to try out Terrain Following in a gently rolling area. The plane lost more altitude than necessary.

So far I couldn’t find a reason why the plane didn’t try to gain height as the terrain was rising. Or is any of the control loops too sluggish to keep up with the horizontal speed of approx. 20m/s?

Some more explanation about what’s in the log about terrain might also be helpful.
