All, DIY F450 quad, Copter 4.2+, latest MP.
This issue has been going on for months now across several Copter versions: When arming, following GPS initialization, Altitude and Distance (at the controller) snap to a bogus value-typically -133. The battery voltage, current and # of satellites are reported correctly. During flight, the previously named values remain bogus, however, Speed is correctly reported. GPS is a U-Blox M8N, configured for GPS+SBAS and Galileo.
The .bin is attached - flight was to verify throttle notch - but ‘normal’ flights exhibit the Altitude/Distance issue, every time. TNX for the look!
