Tarot x4, Flame 60A ESC Crash while autotuning

Hi Guys,

I assembled a quad drone with Tarot x4 960mm, T motor MN6007II KV320 motors with Flame 60A ESC, 10000 mah 6s LiPo battery, T motor MF2211R props. The drone flies well in stabilize mode. While on Autotune it suddenly started spinning to left, Happened twice. Eventually I brought it down but crashed while landing. Can you please help me analyse the logs.

Hello @Abhilash_B welcome to the community.

I edited your post title for clarity.

Incorrectly configured drones crash. That is the sad truth. What steps did you take to configure your vehicle?

No it doesn’t.

Now featuring the best selling image of an untuned multi-rotor not ready for Auto Tune. Running old firmware.

That is a link to section 7.1.1 that explicitly explains and addresses that particular issue.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I was able to takeoff the drone and land it so I figured it was good enough before tuning. Please can you suggest some next steps to rectify it?

I’ll check this out. Thank you.

What @amilcarlucas suggested. You will see an example of what you have to do in that guide.

Okay. Checking it out.

Hey @amilcarlucas sorry I forgot to reply to you. So I inherited these parts from a custom made frame and sourced the parts on to this drone including the Autopilot. Since all the propulsion system and the dimensions of the frame was same I went ahead for the first flight and figured will tune from there. I have to admit I’m new to tuning, so this was a bad call on my part.
