Tarot gimble screws too short, disconnected in flight

I had my X8 on it’s first autonomous flight this week and noticed it was fling a bit erratically. I initiated a RTL and noticed something dangling from it which turned out to be my gimble and gopro that were only connected by the control wire.

Upon inspection I found that two screw attaching the gimble to the mouting plate had come loose. You can see the two silver nuts/standoffs in this picture.

These screw are not what mounts the gimble to the airframe. The three black screws in the picture are what I used for attaching the gimble. The two that failed were attached at the factory.

This picture shows one of the screws that came loose.

You can see these are way to short for the application. They only protrude about 1.5mm above the plastic base and when you screw them into the nuts there’s only a bit more than 1 turn in them.

If you have this gimble you may want to check it and replace them if they are too short.

Thank you for the report, we are investigating.
