I have done a few test flights of my T-Rex 450 Pitch and Roll standard tuning is not bad but the tail feels very soft despite almost doubling the Yaw P Gain. My feeling is its a tradition heli without a flight controller it would need more gyro gain and revolution mix
I guess ‘soft’ means it accelerates slow, try this
ATC_ACCEL_R_MAX = 0 … default = 110000
ATC_ACCEL_P_MAX = 0 … default = 110000
ATC_ACCEL_Y_MAX = 0 … default = 27000
Default values are for multicopters, not good for helicopters
Set TUNE = 6 for Rate Yaw kP on channel 6 tuning and turn it down, with ATC_ACCEL_Y_MAX = 0 the tail will be a lot faster.

Thanks i will give it a go but it will be a few days as the weather is awful
That worked a treat although i turned up Rate Yaw Kp to 0.28 but its much better. The next problem is the throttle but I will do another post for that
