Switching Safety Mode

I am currently experimenting with autopilot for a water boat using Arudupilot, Mission Planner, and Pixhauk.

Rather than controlling safety mode on and off from a parameter list, I want to assign the function to switch safety mode on and off to a button on the controller.

I want to be able to switch safety mode while flying the drone. Is this possible?

If possible, please tell me how to do this.

What is safety mode for you?

I suspect you’re trying to arm/disarm the vehicle from a switch? Or maybe switch to Hold mode?
