Switching from rover to sub for rc control

Hi everyone - I’ve been running conventional sub’s for the last years with ArduRover because ArduSub required a tether and a companion computer - the tether is not practical for my purposes.

Because max dive depth is only 2 m I’m using RFDesign tx-mod module as TX and the RFD modem @ 868 MHz inside the pressure hull for radiocontrol and telemetry.

Am I correct that ArduSub 4.7 with the implementation of PR:29742 allows me to keep my current RX/TX and telemetry setup and simply switch from Rover to Sub?

Yes, I think that @hwurzburg added support for regular RCs in PR 29742 so it should work.
