So, I have several rovers recently. I want to do swarming by Mission Planner first. I wonder how it works. It seems swarm only works for UAV, not UGV.
Somehow I missed this message… in any case, I suspect it will work with very recent versions of Rover (i.e. Rover-3.3) because we’ve added a velocity controller which is I think what the MP uses to control the rover.
I’d say give it a try and if it doesn’t work, attach a dataflash log and telemetry log if possible.
By the way, we are planning to add “Drone follow” mode to Rover at some point. This will allow a rover to follow another vehicle without the need for a ground station as long as they’re attached to each other with telemetry of some sort.
