Hello, I’m using version 4.5.6 with a quadcopter drone. When taking off in Guided mode, the aircraft suddenly pitched downward, and I’m not sure what caused this issue. We’ve tested it in Stabilize mode without any problems, but during takeoff in Guided mode, it suddenly flipped backward. We tried switching back to Stabilize mode but couldn’t recover control, resulting in a crash. After our analysis, we still can’t identify the problem, so we’re seeking your help. I look forward to your response! I have a video of the takeoff process, and you can private message me your email address so I can send it to you. Looking forward to your reply!
Stabilize uses a simplified control loop.
Guided uses one extra control loop on top.
So if you did not tune stabilize correctly, it might still fly. But the probability of being unstable in guided is higher.
Improve the tuning in stabilize, perform the steps in the documentation and guided will work fine.
Hello, there’s no issue with the assembly of my aircraft. Before switching to Stabilize mode, we sent a takeoff command in Guided mode, but the aircraft was about to flip backward, which is when we switched to Stabilize mode. Could you please analyze my flight logs to help me identify the cause of this problem? Thank you for your response!
So you have significant vibrations
Set your logging to 180222 so you can have useful information.
Also your copter is out of balance…
What flight controller, esc’s, motors, props are you using? post some photos of your setup.
With your vibrations hitting 50 and above that can cause the issues that you are talking about.
Did you manually setup your copter in mission planner or did you use the Methodic Config software?
