Hi,
I’m planning to mount the DJI Action 4 camera on a copter equipped with two compasses, internal and external. The issue is that the camera has a magnetic mount built into its case, and it seems to be a strong magnet that can’t be removed. Has anyone flown with this type of camera before?
It will cause problems you can’t have magnets anywhere near the compass.
Hi!
I’m also facing the same problem. What is exaclty “near the compass”?
Is it feasible to somehow cancel the effect of the action camera’s magnetic field?
Or it’s better to put the camera somewhere else, to avoid risking a crash or unexpected flight maneuvers?
Thanks!
Get a little hand held magnetic compass and it will show you any magnetic fields near the compass module if it gets deflected.
