SITL Plane Initiate Automatic Takeoff

It seems all my searching and reading hasn’t given me the procedure on how to actually get the plane to takeoff. I can arm and start the mission but the plane just sits there. In Plane 4.5.7 simulation what command or procedure will do this?

set AUTO_OPTIONS to 3

That’s the issue - that setting is no longer present in current mission planner and I can’t find any documentation on what it has replaced it.

Sorry my bad that option is for copter.
Just add a takeoff command at the beginning of your mission, then arm and set mode to Auto…

Yep - tried that. This is what I get. Plane just sits on runway and never moves.
12/18/2024 8:43:50 AM : Triggered AUTO. GPS speed = 0.0
12/18/2024 8:43:50 AM : Armed AUTO, xaccel = 0.0 m/s/s, waiting 0.2 sec
12/18/2024 8:43:50 AM : Mission: 1 Takeoff
12/18/2024 8:43:12 AM : Flight plan received
12/18/2024 8:42:58 AM : Throttle armed

Oh - and it immediately disconnects and won’t reconnect unless I redownload plane simulation from a full start over.

I reloaded mission planner on a virtual machine for testing. Now as soon as I load the simulation the plane just takes off even though it hasn’t been armed. It continues to fly away and I can’t stop it. I’ll keep messing around with it.
