Today i took out new fixed wing drone invert V 4m wing span 60CC gas engine on orange cube on 4.3.3 for its maiden .
I did all my checks range check all the servos going the right way in manual and in auto so i arm it turn on the ignition fire it up set the idle let it warm up started to taxi it out to the strip stop it did last surface check.
Omg the right Aileron and the right elevator stopped working and would not move so turned it off push it back to the starting area turn it on they started working again i have tested all the servo leads the battery’s the system has 3 x 2s battery’s ones for all the servos ones and then to 2 power bricks for the cube ones to bec for all the 5 volt gear and the last one it just for ignition system which is all isolated from system had look at the logs i cant pick up on what its issues was one thing i did note that rubber mixing with the Vtail was still working so elevator servo was still working
just no output to the servo for the elevator just the rudder stick
well i updated the receivers to Access R8-Pro moved the GPS turn now the power on RFD 900x moved the receivers to new spot took it out for its maiden same thing
kill the engine still no out put have to reboot the cube then it start to work
this one got me beat need help with this one https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BBgzcVmjVcgpLpYrAUWGHV4CLhJpdClv/view?usp=share_link
Thanks for your time Allister i think i found it late las night
its looking like its was an Frsky Gas suit issue
looks like as common ground with Rmp sensor on the ignition module to S-port on the Receiver which linked to the S-bus
not happy as i lost a plane last year that could not explain till now
when it went in i did have some control now i know why
Well fired it up today guest what it did not stop lol
so I plug in the s-port from the Gas suite back in and the to servos stopped would not work
I did try warm reboot of the cube they still not work with the motor off
I did plug in s-bus signal checker the cube was still out putting to the servos
soon as unplug the servo and plug it back in they worked so it was the servo that did not like the noise
R.I.P
well took it for its maiden with out the rpm sensor pluged in flys good no issues at all in manual mode
so i landed it re fuel and i was talking to another frsky gas suite user he said plug rpm sensor into the tacho pull out the red wire so i did that fired it work fine on the ground no servo issue took off put in auto tune started to tune the roll the plane would stop rolling that odd next it went full throttle pointing to the ground no control put it in manual mode still no control so killed the motor got control back to late out my sight behind trees did not end well for the poor old plane
WARNING
TO ALL FRSKY GAS SUITE USERS DONT USE THE CDI OR RPM PART OF UNIT
