Sensor for front collision avoidance. What to buy?

Hello all,

I’m looking for a small accurate rangefinder that interfaces with a pixhawk 2 cube. I’m looking for front left and front right object avoidance and I currently have a Garmin LiDAR light range finder for altitude but would like to replace it for something smaller. Does anybody have a sensor they would recommend? I’d rather not have to use an Arduino board as space is limited.
So if anybody knows of a sensor for forward collision avoidance and possibly altitude I would love to hear about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to read!

Maxbotix offers quite a good range of affordable and good quality sonars
We also have very good documentation on setting up such sonars

Thanks for the reply. I ended up with TFMini Plus i2c ready.

Cheers

it can only be used for experimentation

I don’t understand about the experimentation?
