as mentioned in the last EU DEV Call and asked for more info by @tridge .
Apparently, there were some problems that might have originated from microSD card problems.
My Colleague Daniel Teubl also had some problems and found one big influence in the sd card he used. “Industrial” Cards performed much better and much more reliable with his logger.
He wrote up a quick summary about some of his tests where he directly compared three micro sd cards.
Limitations toward Ardupilot:
- mbed-os is used in his logger
- maybe: different buffer/write scheme? (described in PDF)
- maybe: he “only” used the SPI interface. I guess Ardupilot does as well? But i am not 100% sure.

edit: ACMU is the name of his logger, including hard and software.
