RTF - ARF Plane info needed

Calls to 3D Robotics have failed to answer my questions.

  1. Are both ARF and RTF available? If not, which?
1.b. What would be included. I find conflicting info on 3DR
  2. Airframe Bixler 1 or 2?
  3. Any other airframe supported?
  4. Any reference configuration available to use as baseline to estimate flight duration.
  5. Can a down looking camera be mounted? (GOPRO)
  6. Any other useful info on buying a 3DR plane beyond the limited web store info?

3DR will be switching from the Bixler to the 2014 Skywalker 1880 this year. I don’t know if it will be RTF or how much they will charge. This can carry a camera bigger than a Sony Nex7 for over an hour at 33mph cruise.
Well worth waiting for over a Bixler.

Hi Frank,

  1. Are both ARF and RTF available? If not, which?
    ARTF Available only

1.b. What would be included. I find conflicting info on 3DR
It won’t include remote control (neither the receiver)

These elements are optional if you include them in your order:

  • telemetry radios (2 - one for ground station and the other on the plane)
  • FPV/OSD system that includes FPV Camera, miniOSD, video transmitter and video receiver and 2 900mAh batteries
  • 3S 4200mAh batteries (1, 2 or 3) with battery charger, and protective bag for the batteries.
  1. Airframe Bixler 1 or 2?
    Bixler 2

  2. Any other airframe supported?
At this moment no, but the Skywalker will be offered soon

  3. Can a down looking camera be mounted? (GOPRO)
    Not from factory
