Hello, everyone, could someone help me sorting out the issue. I have RPlidar S2 sensor, i am using with copter for obstacle avoidance. But unable to get any response from the sensor on mission planner. it works fine with robostudio but do not works with orange cube in mission planner. I have searched on forums but didn’t found any solution. My arducopter version is 4.5.7, does it compatible with it?
I have followed the arducopter/slamtec/seed studio documentation, using serial 1 for communication, tried multiple baud rates, gounded the motoctl pin, and also tried connecting with 5v, but didnt worked.
Have anyone tried it with mission planner?
No, it is not.
That is normal and expected. That particular model is not yet supported by the firmware.
The lidar is supported (or not) by ArduPilot firmware. It has nothing to do with MissionPlanner.

Ask rplidar to donate an S2 to the ArduPilot project.
