RCIN to Holybro 6x

Having issues getting RCIN to my Holybro 6x. I’ve bound the Transmitter to the Spektrum AR8020T RX and connected the Rx to the Telem1 port (believed to be Serial1) connecting the signal pin to pin 2 (Tx) on Telem 2, then 5v to pin 1 and gnd to pin 6 as per the picture.

In the SERIAL1 configuration I’ve set SERIAL1_PROTOCOL to 23 (RCIN) and, as per a google search, it suggests SERIAL1_OPTIONS to 4 (but I don’t know why).

Either way, when setting up the radio calibration, i get no input whatsoever from the transmitter (bind light solid throughout).

Grateful for some advice as to what I’m doing wrong. Thanks

Is RC_PROTOCOLS 1?

Did you use ArduPilot methodic configurator software?

I hadn’t, but I have now. It hasn’t changed any of the settings I’d made.

Connect the signal to rx instead

I wonder if you need to set SERIAL1_BAUD,115?

It’s not in our documentation, but that’s the default rate for SRXL2.

And if using telem2 then you need to use serial 2 parameters

Thank you for all the suggestions. I’ve now tried both TELEM 1 & 2, both with the BAUD of 115200 and utilising both the TX and the RX wires. Soooo frustrating

You might also try the dedicated SRXL2 port on tune receiver.

Type AR8020T into the search box here and learn from others frustrated with Spectrum gear.
