Re how to start recording video using an RC command, I think there are two options:
- if it is using a RunCam then we have some instructions on the wiki here. The page is a bit messed up but it has this advice
In order to control start and stop of video recording from a radio transmitter set a free rc channel to RCx_OPTION = 78 to enable triggering from that RC input channel. If the switch is in the low position then video recording is stopped, if in the high position then video recording is started.
- connect one of the autopilot’s PWM output and connect it to the camera’s pwm input and then use RC pass through by setting SERVOx_FUNCTION = RCxIN. For example if you wanted to use RC 7 to start the video and the autopilot’s Servo output 8 is connected to the camera then you would set SERVO8_FUNCTION = 57 (RCIN7)
