RC boat: which ardupilot for a boat

dkemxr has a good point, can you solder?

Those Holybro radios come with cables that connect to Holybro FC’s (6 series, etc). If you don’t have that controller then cut one end off and either crip on the Dupont connectors as @geofrancis has suggested or buy some pre-made servo leads and splice them.

The only ones I can find in germany are wanting around double the price.

It might be tempting to buy some cheaper ones on Aliexpress but the general wisdom is to go with Holybro or Mro units.
What RC system do you have?

My RC system (if I understood it correctly) ist the Futaba T6L Sport 2,4 GHz T-FHSS AIR + R3106GF

I found this one: Holybro FPV Telemetrie Set 433Mhz V3 für Pixhawk | Telemetrie 433Mhz / 868Mhz | Flightcontroller & Sensorik | Multicopter | Premium-Modellbau

I don’t think my soldering skills will be a problem

I got the Holybro M9N GPS with the JST GHR 1.25mm 6Pin - 2nd GPS plug.
The Mateksys H743 Wing V3 has only one such plug but the external board is connected to this one.
Was it a mistake I cant fix with some soldering or do I need to get/(hopefully exchange) one with a Molex 1.25mm 6Pin 4Pin 3Pin version? (It’s the only other option in the shop with a plug with less pins)

If I can connect it noetheless, which pins do i need to connect it to?

Also I’m not sure wheather or not I need to regulate my Power before connecting to the pads on the FC as shown in the picture (espeachally because of the TVS protection). I have a 12V System (LiFePO4) with 2 Motors that can pull up to 22A each.

On the website following is stated:

Input voltage range: 8~36V (3~8S LiPo) with TVS protection
2x ESC power pads
Current sense: 220A, 3.3V ADC (scale 150 in INAV, 66.7 A/V in ArduPilot)
Sense resistance: 90A continuous, 220A peak.
BEC 5V Output

For this TVS protection, which component do I need to put wehre between my Battery and FC?

Also does it make a difference if I connect the power of the ESCs directly to my power source or trough the FC.

Servo leads do have 3 cables. so which from the telemetry do i need to connect to which pins on the FC?

Telemetry Rx to FC Serial port Tx and Tx to Rx.

so those two?

Yes, you can use those. Just keep in mind for configuration purposes Tx1/Rx1 is Serial 2 on that Flight Controller.
Reference docs:
Ardupilot Matek H743-Wing
Matek Ardupilot pinouts

what do I have to watch out for if it’s serial 2?
would it be better to use serial 1 (Rx7/Tx7)

Additionally, do I need to have a distance between the GPS and the Telemetry antennas because of e.g. interference?

Nothing, use it. It’s probably already configured for Mavlink2 by default so you don’t have to do anything.

thanks.

Do you also have a solution regarding those points?

Yes, separation is a good idea. It might make no difference.

That’s in the doc I already linked to. GPS to a serial port and Compass to an I2C port.

No, connect the battery directly. If this is what you mean by Power.

No.

Do you have an idea how much is enough? 30cm?

Does it also contain which of the 6 existin pins is which?

yes I meant the 12V battery.

so this is ok, right?

No, but a simple google search will find it. M9N pinout

Yes. Are you using some kind of Power Distribution Board? What battery power?

Thank you!

No Distribution board. the Fc and the ESC are not on the same battery to avoid possible spikes when using the motors. the battery for the FC has 12V 20A and the other (multiple in parallel) has 12V 80A. How much A does the FC pull?

(I guess I’ll try with about 30cm distance, it would be hard to get more)
