Questions on mode_auto/mode_guided

Hello, I have some questions about AUTO mode and Guided mode.
I usually fly my drone with pre-planned waypoints, then the flight mode became either Auto or Guided.
I’m guessing that, if I add additional waypoint druing the flight(mission), the flight mode switched to Guided mode.
Is my guess right?

And, other questions,
There are 4 sub modes in the Guided mode, poscontrol, velcontrol, posvel control, angle control.
What is the condition (or trigger) of sub modes?
And how can I extinguish which sub mode is used in the flight log?
