Quadplane fixed wing navigation problems

Hi,

I am developing a quadplane and in the most recent version we have run into fixed wing navigation issues that I cannot figure out.

The plane misses waypoints, does surprise 180deg turns back on the waypoints and weaves on straights and stalls in some turns. We have added some usable payload, increasing the weight by some 300g and changed the tail from an A-tail to a V-tail, keeping dimensions otherwise the same.

Our previous version, log attached from March 2025, we did an autotune and a short AUTO mission which flew relatively well. NAVL1_Period = 13 if I am not mistaken. CubeOrange as the FC.

Today, in a very similar plane where the largest change is we can’t seem to get the navigation working at all. NAVL1_period = 19 in this case. We have tried lower and higher NAVL1_period values and the result is more or less the same. This time using a MATEK H743 Wing.

We did an AUTOTUNE and continued to an AUTO mission, similar to before.

Autotune seems to have got relatively similar values, even though Autotune level was 5 in the latest flight and 6 in the earlier version. The controller in the latest version is a SIYI UniRC Pro, which explains the rigid 50% throttle input in the AUTOTUNE.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Solved the problem! The V-tail servo travels were off and the trim had been knocked out of whack.
