Quadcopter flipped upside down during takeoff (GUIDED mode)

Good day to you ArduCopter experts. I recently experienced the misfortune of my quadcopter flipping over backwards during takeoff in GUIDED mode.

Link to log file.

Using a Mavlink connection, I commanded ArduCopter to takeoff as it had done numerous times before. This time however it flipped over backwards, causing a loss of propellers and some adjustment needed before I could fly again.

Would any of you be so kind to tell me what went wrong? It has got me scratching my chin since I had so many successful flights before and since.

Just before the crash, I had previously noticed some “PreArm: Gyros not healthy” warning messages while I had been recalibrating the compass. The next day I recalibrated the IMU and found that the “not healthy” warning messages disappeared.

My going theory is that the sun was heating up the quadcopter and caused some sort of IMU malfunction. By recalibrating the IMU the next day, the problem seemed to go away.

I would be most grateful for input as to why the drone crashed.

With many thanks,
Andrew

Good afternoon, did no experts have any thoughts at all about this? I could not see any errors in the log file myself but I would like to get to the bottom of this. Thank you.
