What are the benefits/draw backs of placing motors on a quad below or above the motor arm.
I read somewhere that video jello can be caused by prop wash striking the motor arm when the motor is mounted above the motor arms?
Props above the arms is certainly more common
props dont interfere with the payload
potential for bigger props
more vibrations as propwash hits the arms
There’s always the coax quad (quadX8) where you have both, redundancy too!
The quad format allows for bigger props than the same size hex or octo.
