QGroundControl: Drone doesn't make smooth turn

Hi All,

I’am unable to find the correct way to let my drone make a smooth turn in Autopilot via QGroundControl. Now when my drone make’s a turn it is alway direct lined.

Which settings and where can I find te settings to let de drone make a nice (half circle)?

Current settings.

Easiest is add a waypoint just before WP2. About where the tip of the arrow is in the picture. Make sure it’s further away than 2x the waypoint radius.

When we start automatic flight, the drone should be able to make nice turns automaticly without adding additional waypoints.
Our drone does not go faster than 5KMh / 1.3 m/s.
We just need to be able to scan/map the ground.

Well, actually it does a smooth turn, it is a small parabola (constant acceleration corner) as the copter has to come fairly close to the waypoint and is acceleration limited. If you want nice circle you have to either have intermediate point to split the turn into two with larger inner angle like suggested by Allister.

Place waypoint between takeoff and WP2 at the tip of the black arrow so the first corner looks a bit more like WPs 11, 12, 13, 14
