Pulsing of motor or motor

Hi,

I have an octaquad that started giving me problems. it is using a Pixhawk running 3.2-rc4 (but I have tried FW down to 3.1.2) the motors or motor pulses which causes the copter to jump. sometimes it looks like it is the number 2 and 5 motor pulsing causing that corner to raise, other times it seems like all for corners are doing it causing the copter to increase in alt then going back down.

I am not sure what it is, the esc’s seem ok. I had a sync problem on a different quad but that was every easy to spot and the esc ran hot just idling. I dont think it is an esc but then again I dont know what it is. I have re-flashed it and re calibrated everything.

please if someone could have a look at the logs and let me know what they think, even if it is an esc, which one I should try first? I will attach them here. oh, this just started, it flew great in the past…

thanks,

John

Hi, I just wanted to update this post

I haven’t been able to figure out what is up with the pulsing motors yet, but I think I have ruled out hardware issues. what I did was to remove the lower set of props, configure the esc’s as a quad (on the top set) and flash 3.2-RC4 as a quad, and fly with the same params. it flys great, no pulsing. I then removed the top set of props and put the bottom set back on, moved esc’s around and set the parameter to H-FRAME so I would not have to swap motor wires around to reverse directions, and flew, same no pulsing on the motors.

oh and the pulsing does happen with either 4S or 6S batteries

any ideas?

John
