I have read through the APM 2.5/2.6 Overview on powering the APM. I just want to make sure that I understand things correctly.
I am building a hexacopter with the APM 2.6. I have the 3DR Hexacopter Power Distribution Board. Since I am running 6S lipos, I am using the AttoPilot instead of the 3DR Power Module (so no onboard regulator). I am using Hobbywing Platinum 40A ESC’s which each supply 5.25v @ 3A from the BEC. If I understand the power distribution board schematics, all of the BEC’s are connected in parallel giving me 5.25v @ 18A max to the power supply lead.
My plan is to connect the power supply lead from the power distribution board to the APM Output. I will use the jumper to supply power from the Output to the Input/Analog group. I will have the signal pins from my pan/tilt servos connected to the analog pins A10-11. But I will plug the servo power leads directly to the APM Outputs.
Any problem with this setup? Am I missing something? I just want to make sure I don’t release the magic smoke from my APM the first time I power it up. TIA, Greg
