Plane Auto Landing

Is this landing good ? I simulated on gazebo but I don’t know that this landing is good or not. You can see flight logs.

As you can see the “landing” is totally irrational.

You start it only 48 meters from the landing point. With a brutal slope of 76º. The flare at 48 meters high… and with a vertical speed (downward) of 0.8; which theoretically would be 60 seconds until touchdown.

With all this disaster the landing point misses by ONLY 552 meters.

With this scenario the big advice I can give you is to read the documentation on automatic landing and then modify the necessary parameters for the needs of your aircraft. The LAND* and TECS.LAND* parameters are ALL at their default values.

Although with the above you already have where to investigate it may also be good to activate a range finder (LIDAR) to improve the accuracy. Without the above this will not change anything.

Another important issue is that you make a TECS setting so that the system knows the capabilities of your aircraft.
