Pixhawk 2 -- autopilot for fixed wing drone

Hi, Y’all,

As part of a project, I need to build a fixed-wing drone with autopilot features. My group and I have decided to buy the Pixhawk 2 as it is more redundant than the alternatives we were given. That being said, I’m now in charge of the autopilot features. We are looking to use ArduPilot as it is open source and very well tested among the DYI community.
As this is a new thing for all of us, is it possible to get some guidance on how we should proceed from here? We will also transmit a live feed to a monitor in the ground. Ideally, we’d like to get full autopilot, but if the time-frame doesn’t allow us to develop it, we’d be interested in auto-stabilization.

Pixhawk is a great AP platform. It will do whatever you need.
