Hello all, noob here,
I have mavproxy/sitl running arducopter; it flies. Using: message REQUEST_DATA_STREAM 1 0 1 5 1 to snap a photo in mavproxy, the system has no response I can see. The docs sort of indicate that this should work, although the docs need a lot of work. Anyway, if there is photo data, where does it go? There is no pop-up viewer or such.. Being a still from sim-camera of a sim-2d-airstrip, I’m not sure what it should look like anyway.
Running iris_runway using arducopter/sitl/gazebo yields a fliable drone with a 3d visual space - camera doesnt work here either.
Adding QGCS shows airfield with controls and such. I followed instructions to install all the prerequisites like GStreamer, etc. Still no still or video. QGCS does complain about missing parameters.
So, how does one get camera data from arducopter, or any other vehicle ? The docs have not been as helpful as they look like they should be. Thank you in advance for your excellent advice.
