Onboard tlog capture to sd card

Is there a ready to use way for onboard full data logging like MP does?

I was thinking to make one, but don’t really have the time now. :frowning:

Thx,
Gábor

MP does not do “full data logging”! It merely records the MAVLink protocol stream into the .tlog file.
APM:Plane already has a configurable onboard logging function and the APM2.5/2.6 has a flash chip for logging on board.

This information is easily found in the documentation which you should have read before posting a question.

Hi Stefan and Gabor,
I actually would like to add tlog logging to the SD card on PX4, to complement the dataflash logging. The reason I think it would be useful is there are a lot of tools for processing tlogs in interesting ways so having a high rate (maybe 20Hz?) tlog on the SD card would be very useful.
We’d still have the dataflash logging as well.
I’ve been meaning to add this for a while, just haven’t done it yet, sorry!
Cheers, Tridge

Now i started to use a Android phone to do this for me.

This was the easy way.

It also gives me a unlimited telemetry range.
So it does bough. Keeps the tlogs on the phone, and also able to send it down realtime.

This i will have to try.
(Works on the table.)

Thx,
Gábor
