Ok guys IRIS newbie

i purchased an IRIS used, and i have yet to get it in the air, ive been looking everywhere for the right help
when i first got it i brought it outside and waited for gps to load and then did a arm, now this was without using like a nexus or droidplanner or mission planer, just fly it with the transmitter

well it just did a back flip on the ground,
so i figured something was wrong, so i started to play with the soft ware, i loaded factory params for IRIS, and did nothing to stock radio,

and now i tried a nexus 7, it links to the iris but???

i get prearm rc not calibrated
so i do all the IRIS calibrations and even the radio calibration, but nothing the minute i finish calibrations still has the error

then the radio now does not show any telemetry at all, its there but reads all zero’s, so i dont even know if radio is set up right,

when i first tried to fly, i would hit switches and on nexus it would talk and say loiter, and all the things it should say…but now nothing…it dont talk…

so i dont know what to do now…any help would be great…thanks

Sounds like the radio is no longer linked to the Receiver. You will need to rebind the receiver to get the radio back working again. Load up Mission Planner and check that the radio still works.

Mike

the radio is linked caz i can start props but no telemetry, and also if i use the nexus, when i first got it, it would talk out commands…no nothing…so i dont know if switches are right or if its safe to fly, this is all after i add new params for iris +

oh the only reason the props start, is i diabled the prearm check…but they say no safe to fly like that

so any help would be appreciative

Try going to “optional hardware” in Mission Planner. Then 3DR radio, the settings need to be the same for both radios.
