About the topic “object avoidance” , we can see in the arducopter documentation some possibilities using sonar and lidar , which are maybe pretty expensive . But looking a YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmpxkKq3zNA , we can see a demo using 4 simple HC-SR04 , a solution which seems to work well. This “light” solution would be adaptable on the arducopter project ?? Thanks .
This is an interesting implementation of mavlink on an Arduino
Unfortunatly, those sensors need an adaptation board and are pretty unreliable.
We got a mavlink backend for avoidance, so the best would be to have the arduino board to output mavlink avoidance message directly.
But don’t trust those sensor much, there just good for small experiments.
