Non GPS RTL? Return to Home with and without gps

I saw DJI had this non gps RTH. Wonder if ardupilot had anything similar or planning to have anything similar?

from what I can see they are using something like smart-RTL to follow its path and bring it back to the entrance of the garage using GPS, doing a GPS to non GPS transition then only using the non gps navigation indoors, probably SLAM. the problem with SLAM is you need a fairly powerful onboard computer like a pi4 or nvidia jetson to do it.

It’s easy when you throw enough money at the problem, custom silicone is well outside the budget of most manufacturers unless your DJI or Tesla.

I see that other than RC link, the drone has 4G link as well. Using mobile base station it might be able to triangulate it’s position and a mixed of Range finders (OAS and altitude), it might actually be able to achieve indoor positioning too. I suspect this might be the case. Mobile base station triangulation has be around for decades.
