No telemetry Data & No GPS

Hello everyone,

this is my second post with the same issue, I amm trying to find solution to big issue I am facing…
I am using Pixhawk 2.1 black cube with arducopter 4.5.7, superP 14Ch 2.4Ghz programmed CRSF using ch13 (RX)and 14 (TX)
using telmetry 1
wiring the cables red, TX, RX, -,-,G
G,Red, TX (ch13) top left
-,-,RX (Ch14) top middle

I installed the Yaapu 2.0 in my TX16S

also * Set SERIAL1_PROTOCOL = 23

  • Set [RSSI_TYPE] = 3
    tried RC_option 8 and 0

it is showing No telemetry Data no GPS

I am powering the FC using 20A casle BEC
also using Opto HW 200A ESC platinum V4 ESC

Thank you

Did you enable CRSF support in the Yaapu configuration on the radio?

Yes, I attached the pic of my radio, I don’t know what I am missing here!

Please let me know if if on another page
Thank you

RC_OPTIONS parameter set?

If that ESC has an RPM wire then you need to input that RPM wire to the a GPIO pin on the flight controller.

https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-gpios.html
https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-rpm.html#electrical-commutation-sensors

If it’s Standard ESC Telemetry then try this:

https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-esc-telemetry.html#common-esc-telemetry
https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-rpm.html#esc-telemetry-average-motor-rpm

Yes RC_option =8
I am trying to upload all pics, can you open the link and see the pics?
Thanks thank you.

Yeap, It’s data P signal which is not only RPM
It should give RPM, main battery Voltage and current.

I will connect it to serial 4/5 on pin #4
But this will not solve the problem for me.

It should show me telemetry through the CSFR.

Is there specific cables I need to buy?

I have updated both my Pixhawk units for my both Helie to 4.5.7

Also updated the FW in my superp RX

I am sure there is something wrong here.
Thank you

That’s not right, it’s a bitmask. It’s default which is usually 32 plus the bit for “use passthru for CRSF telemetry”. Just click the Options> “Set Bitmask” button and click the option. Then you don’t need to know anything about bitmasks.

Oh, will try it out and post an update…
I appreciate it.

Ozzy

Working working Yahhhhhh
I appreciate it man!!!

Thank you and to all other guys here!

I think I can do the same thing with my other Heli (3DR Pixhawk )

Also I will connect the ESC P signal to the aerial 4/5 and power up the ESc to see if there is any reading going through the ESC

Again I appreciate it guys

Ozzy

Excellent! I know the feeling when that screen comes to life!

Out of curiosity what Transmitter module are you using?

it was loud ohhhh, the wife heard my creaming from the other side of the house

now, the flight modes reading different than the mission planner, is that normal?

when I use the programmed 6 P swtich to change between the flight mode, is giving me different than the mission planner ( I am using the MAVlink also to verfy the screen on my PC)

Thank you

Try disabling PX4 Flight Modes in the Yaapu configuration. I see in your screenshot it’s enabled. Not sure if this will fix it.

I just tried on and off both same result,
in the mission planner the flight mode 1 mode = Stab but in the radio Altctl and so on all different than the mission planner.

Thank you

Altctl? That’s a new one, don’t know what that is. maybe it’s a PX4 Mode and there is still that problem.
Edit: This is the problem. Wrong Flight Mode
But editing the file as he did should not be necessary.

Do you have the right Folder structure on the Sd card? Yaapu Installtion

I am sure I fallow the setup guide and copied the files and dropped them in the right spot, you think this is the reason the radio giving me different delight modes?

Thank you

For sure. There is no Altctl flight mode in Ardupilot and it’s the same issue posted as a PR in the link… I think you will have to write the Yappu files again and DO NOT enable PX4 flight modes.

I will reinstall it tonight, hopefully I can find other video on how to or step by step guide.

But hey the biggest issue already solved :star_struck:
Thank you!

Great news!
I fixed the problem and it was just like what you said,
I formatted the SD card then I replaced the Lua files outside the original folder not inside.

And boom :boom: all is good!
:+1:

Now I am going to do the same thing with my other bird (3DR Pixhawk) hopefully I will not need to buy another special cables.

I also going to connect my ESC RPM into the Aux5 in the FC and see if I will receive any RPM information

But I think I must assign Aux5 to be RPM reader !?
This is going to be little hard for me to figure it out.

Or maybe connect it to the serial 4/5 port and assign pin 4 for RPM reading :exploding_head: to much for me now

Thank you
Ozzy

But why I don’t see my BEC battery voltage or current?

The BEC connected to module and I have the

model connected to the Pixhawk through the power port.
