No steering in manual mode

I seem to be having quite a curious problem that i cannot figure out if someone is able to shed some light maybe.

So i have set up my boat its running Matek H743 fc. and running Ardurover v4.7.0

My groundsteering is mapped to channel 4 and my throttle to channel 3 and they are default. I can use my throttle as it should great than 1500 is forward and less than is reverse, 1500 middle. The issue i am having is that i have no groundsteering in manual mode. If i set it to RTL, AUTO or LOIT modes or any modes that are autonomous i will see the steering move. But when in manual mode i cannot get it to move when using the controller.

In status tab i see ch3in moving through its full range but ch3 out doesn’t move. so it is seeing the input but not allowing the output. I know the steering is physically working because if i set it to roll channel or spare rcin or even rcpassthrough on servo 3 it will work as it should. just wont work in groundsteering.

I cant leave it on these channels as ill need it for autopilot to know what steering is.

I have tried playing around with a few parameters but nothing really sticks out as to block the steering completely.

Any information on why it would not be allowing any steering just in manual, am i missing a safety parameter or something.

I will be putting together a full report on the build when i start getting some time.

I have some missunderstanding:

My groundsteering is mapped to channel 4

In status tab i see ch3in moving through its full range but ch3

Is the steering channel now 3 or 4?
Best is to show a log.bin file of the issue or at least your full PARAMs.
Did you try to calibrate your RC-control?

My mistake i meant channel 4. Channel 4 in is

Moving as it would with the stick but nothing coming from

Ch4 out.

I’ll post the bin tomorrow

RCMAP_ROLL is probably the parameter you are misunderstanding. That’s the RC input channel for steering on a Rover.

Yes I did have it working like this but it was wildly misbehaving on water so I was thinking it might have been yaw, ok great thank you for your information now I know! I will set that and continue with the tuning.
