No log files are created

I never had to make any changes to the log parameters, but setting up SpeedyBee F405 wing Mini is causing a few issues:

I changed the backend from 4 to 1 and also tried 2 and other combos that causing bad logging/logging failed. So the only one that works is 1 (file).

2nd problem is after arming, no log files are creaded on the SD card.

SD card is Sandis 32GB, formated FAT32.

Please see screenshot of these parameters if I miss somthing:

What firmware did you flash? Show the messages screen where it says.

FW 4.5.7

Problem is there are no log files created after arming

You said that already

Here:

You have the wrong firmware. Just like another poster on the forum this week.
Read the Wiki, what’s the last thing it says?

Dave, this is the one we want, correct?

Yes. At least that’s what both the Ardupilot Wiki and the Speedybee docs say.

It should not be possible to load the wrong firmware but anything seems to able to go wrong with Speedybee hardware.

That’s what I have on the board. Let me force download apj file and force another flash.

I don’t think so. You have F405mini. Flash the wing firmware and then see what it says.

You flashed this one.
F405Mini

And hopefully it will be at default parameters.

I have flashed it now with 4.5.5. It seems the FW checked into 4.5.7 repository is the wrong hex and Bootloader. Now it looks consistant with the board type etc. I am going to stay at 4.5.5.

@andyp1per perhaps you can confirm this assertion that the firmware in 4.5.7 Plane repository for the Speedybee F405 Wing board is wrong and is actually the Speedybee Mini.

The tail of this apj file:
https://firmware.ardupilot.org/Plane/stable-4.5.7/SpeedyBeeF405WING/arduplane.apj
contains
“extf_image”: “eNoDAAAAAAE=”,
“summary”: “SpeedyBeeF405WING”,
“version”: “0.1”,
“image_size”: 970544,
“extf_image_size”: 0,
“flash_total”: 983040,
“image_maxsize”: 983040,
“flash_free”: 12496,
“extflash_total”: 0,
“extflash_free”: 0,
“git_identity”: “0358a9c2”,
“board_revision”: 0,
“USBID”: “0x1209/0x5741”

so it looks OK to me.

Thanks. User error selecting the wrong target for the board. 2nd one this week on these Speedybee boards. I’m surprised that it will actually load.

Thank you all. Issue closed.
