I have been struggling for over 2 years (on and off) to get the data displayed on 2 of the 3 Yaapu scripts application , ie. Map and GCS, without success. Yaapu telemetry is working perfect on my Radio Master TX16S running latest Edge firmware for TX16S. I have “discovered” all the sensors in the Telemetry page of TX16S.
For Yaapu Map, all the folders (from Github) are on my Tx SD card. And the Sat tiles are resized to 100 x 100. See attached photo “No map display”.
For Yaapu Lua GCS, I was successful to get Pixhawk data display on Yaapu Lua GCS in my Jumper T16 Tx before switching to the present Radio Master TX16S. See attached photo “No param values on Yaapu Lua GCS”.
File structure of SD card in Tx is also attached.
One thing very strange is : In Version page when press “SYS” button of Tx16S, lua c is shown. But in Build Options under Radio Profile of Companion, only lua is shown, but no lua c. See attached screen captures. Could this be the reason for values/data not displayed ?
I used the same Jumper R8 receiver (FrSky compatible) with my last Tx (jumper T16), i got all param values populated in the Yaapu Lus GCS.
After changing to Radio Master TX16s, i don’t have lua c displayed in the build option under radio profile in Companion.
Thank you for the reply. I am not a developer and thus have no coding background. With your background as a developer, can you give a wild guess on what might be the possible reason why no data is displayed on both Yaapu Map and Yaapu Lua GCS ?
Perhaps the reason applies to both of these application. I am quite desperate.
If you installed Yaapu Telemtry I believe you dont need to install Yaapu Map separately - Yaapu Telemetry has a map page that is essentially the same.
Use the latest Yaapu version.
Upgrade to EdgeTX 2.9.4 but dont go to a later version than that yet.
See if that helps.
In those screenshots it seems like you are using the internal multi-protocol module - is that correct?
I tried Edge TX “Providence” V2.9.0 SD Card Pack (c480x272). It does not help. The pack does not include the firmware, and I just copied all folders in this SD Card Pack to the root directory of my SD card in Tx.. And I use the same fw as before.
In fact, my module is external multi-protocol module.
Actually the 2nd page of Yaapu telemetry is not a map page. These 2 videos suggest one needs to install mapping widget for the map to work :–
Update the EdgeTX firmware to 2.9.4 to ensure everything is supported reasonably.
The 2nd page of Yaapu is messages, the 3rd page is the map. You dont need to install the mapping widget separately - the 3rd page gives a basic map with everything I’d need.
I have it working fine.
For the map, GPS coordinates are shown so it’s getting the telemetry values, thus suggesting the issue is with the map file. The map file is location specific, so you need to make sure the map file you created contain your current location, and has enough resolution step files for you to zoom in or out. You might want to try zooming in or out of that map to see if maybe the files do not have the current zoom step you’re viewing at.
Correct me if I am wrong : You said if I want to display the map tiles say, at home, the map I downloaded to the SD card of my Tx should be the area around my home.
I think I downloaded the map in other area. The 3 levels are 0, -1 and -2 with a switch for zooming.
