No bdshot telemetry data from the T-Motor F55A PRO III

Hi

I’m trying to make the biderectional dshot telemetry working on my quad. I don’t have success so far..

I’m using a CUAV Nora (ch9 - ch12) and the T-Motor F55A PRO III 4in1 ESC. The esc is flashed with the lastest AM32 firmware (2.18). Does maybe the esc doesn’t support bidirectional dshot?

Attached the parameter file. Can someone check if I miss something?

BTW, passtrough with the esc configurator works without any issues.

Quad_BDShot_setup.param (18.8 KB)

Many thanks in advance

Michael

It may make no difference but you don’t need these. Set them back to default (0):
SERVO_BLH_MASK,3840
SERVO_BLH_OTYPE,6

I have a copter with a Nora running bdshot on those channels but with blheli. Your config looks correct, I wonder if there is some AM32 incompatibility here. I also have that ESC running blheli and bdshot with no issues.

@dkemxr I have changed those two paramters to default. It makes no difference… Anything I can test?

The t-motor esc has also telemtry output. Is it maybe possible to use this channel for data output?

Yes, probably. Connect it to a serial port and configure for ESC telemetry and see.

I now get telemetry data from the esc! voltage, rpm, temperature seems right. Only the current must be wrong. Even when the motors are stopped it shows 11.81A… But as I know, the current data will be not used by arducopter.

There are not many ESC’s where the current is right in the telemetry data. 4-in1’s that have 4 shunt resistors, one for each section do.
