New PixHawk and APM2 GPS

I finally got my new PixHawk but my APM 2 telemetry and GPS have different connectors. It would have saved a lot of headaches if DR had included adapters. Or at least they should have suggested that those upgrading need to buy some adapter cables.

I have a couple of GPSs and they do have 6-pin connectors but they are too small to plug into the PH. Does anyone have a like to an adapter cable.

For the telemetry I do have a 5-pin connector that looks like it will fit the 6-pin socket on the PH. Can I use this cable and just offset it? If so which way (vcc side or ground side). If not what’s the part number of the cable that I need.

It’s really frustrating to wait over a month and had nothing that will plug together so I can test it out. Can you guys help or do I need to contact 3DR?

Hi Mike,

See the attached document, I hope it helps.

I agree. I also have new PixHawk and an APM2 GPS and also an APM2 telemetry. I even asked about conversion cables to buy extra, but not available, and the 6 pin DF13 housing you need isn’t available from 3DR either. They have other sizes, but not the necessary 6 pin one. The marketing information indicates a seamless transition from APM to Pixhawk. It would be a lot more seamless with a conversion cable set either included or at least available for purchase, or at the very least the 6 pin housings and pins available. I really don’t want to have to frankenstein it with a bunch of cable splicing.
