Need help identifying broken chip on board

Need help identifying broken chip on board. After flashing the new adruplane I noticed a small chip broken on my main board.

Also if anyone knows the specs of the chip and where to get another that would be greatly appreciated!

Doing research, I believe that the broken part is a “blm21 ferrite bead” These are responsible for eliminating high frequency noise I believe.

What could have caused this chip to break/fry?

Where can I find a new one?

You are right, and you’ll find it on ebay, much cheaper shopping than from many professional component dealers.

Why does my unit work fine without this chip? More importantly, what could have caused this chip to break?

Looks like there are a few different sizes of the blm21 ferrite bead. Which one?

In conjunction with my last reply, there seem to be MANY different types of these beads. How am I supposed to figure out which one?

Here is one as an example: ebay.com/itm/Murata-BLM21BB0 … 43a0f21f32
