Need a Mission Verify Coded into both Copter and Mission Planner

Tried flying a 67 waypoint mission today and it didn’t make it back. When I recovered the drone, I was kind of shocked to discover the cause was the first 12 waypoints were the only waypoints that made it to the pixhawk.

it has a “read waypoint” function. you can clear out your mission planner map, then select “read waypoints” and it’ll pull all the waypoints back from your drone and plot them on the map. i believe the Docs recommend doing this to confirm your flight plan was loaded correctly.

yes that’s how I determined only 12 waypoints loaded…

Maybe an enhancement is the add an “autoverify” function to ensure that what is loaded to the drone is what is on the drone after the load completes

Actually Copter doesn’t need to do anything. Mission Planner can “Read WPs” during the “Write WPs” function and just loop until it matches. I’ll link to this in Mission Planner section.

just use APMplanner2 - it does write, then readback by default.
