Motors or yaw servo - not both together

Cant figure out what Im doing wrong. Trying to set up a VTOL with front 2 motors doing yaw tilt and one rear fixed motor.
As advised on wiki, motors set on servo out 5,6,8. and tilt servos on 9,10.
If I set the bdshot and blh motor mask to 5,6,8 then this (appears to) stop any servo output on 9,10 (nothing out, no green bar).
Or I can have servo output if I incorrectly set the motor mask to 1,2.
Cant have both. Also when making changes servo output 7 keeps getting set to tail tilt servo as in pic (and I keep changing to null)

Please take a look at the parameters as I been chasing this for 3 days. Its early days setting up so no calibrations done, just trying to get the motors and tilt working at the moment. VTOL TROUBLE

What kind of flight controller is it? Have you checked that the motors and servos aren’t in the same group?

Matek H743. Not sure what you mean by Group?

Not sure if I have the right H743, so double check on the Matek site for your exact board, but I think they’re all the same.

Notice that channel 1&2 are in a group. Channel 3-6 are group 2, Channel 7-10 … you get it.

You can’t mix PWM (servos) and Dshot in the same group. So all your motors will need to be in one group and the servos in another. Right now, if you have motors on channel 5,6 and 8, thats groups 2 and 3. PWM servos wont work on any channels in those groups at the same time.

Suggestion, move the motors to channel 4,5,6. Leave 3 empty. Put the servos on any of the other channels and you should be good.

That could very well be the problem. I learn something every day.
