Motor direction differences between handset/pixhawk/ardupilot

HI, I have a fishing bait boat which has 2 motors with sided props fitted.

Specs as follows

Flysky FS-ST8 TX

Flysky FS-SR12 12 channel RX

Radiolink Cool 9030 ESC x 2

Holybro Pixhawk 6C with Ardupilot 4.7.0

I also have a twin screw mixer between the pixhawk and the 2 escs to mix the 2 motor signals so that they both go fwd/back/left/right as per the handset controls.

This works perfectly on the handset, however when I use the manual control or autopilot on the Carp Pilot Pro app to control the boat, the left motor works fine, but the right motor is reversed, and the boat just spins in circles.

Is it something as simple as reversing one of the channels in Mission Planner, or will I have to change something in the parameters?

I’m aware of the motor test section in MP, but it always gives an error when I attempt to use it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I suspect the right motor channel is reversed, most likely on the handset. That’s why the handset - works but not the app.

Fix would usually be to reverse that channel on the handset and on the ArduPilot configuration.

…this should bring it all in line.

You would typically let the Flight Controller handle any mixing.

I tried that, nothing worked.

Anyway sorted it now
