Is there a easy way to enter a permanent fixed position (for all eternity) that can be flown to under RTL, without a height specification (for glider models)?
… and how is this entered in detail?
Example: 50m abeam the middle of the runway as (let’s call it) “HOME position”.
Tested again today.
Neither the set position “Set Home here”, “Inset Wp” nor Rally Point (RP cannot be set) lead to a positive result here.
Under RTL, the flight only ever goes to the position where it was switched on.
Is there any other error-free documentation for WING firmware that can help here?
Rally points do work, so I’m curious what else is going on. Do you have a .bin log file of an attempt or is there some other indication that the rally point isn’t being set?
Rally points are not included on the standard build for the SpeedyBee F4. It’s a limitation of the F4 board. You could try to do a custom build if there’s features of the board you aren’t using that you could give up to make space.
Thank you for your information, I was not aware of this as a user.
For pure glider applications, many unnecessary functions could be dispensed with.
But how can the user get any further here?
Do you have to make changes in the program?
The easiest way to set a fixed point for RTL would be to enter this position using parameters (latitude, longitude). This would also require less programming effort than using unusable graphics.

I can’t find a “RALLY POINT” here!
Thank you for the tip, but it seems to me that this application is something specifically for insiders.
Unfortunately, several attempts have failed because I am not clear about the relationships between the individual modules.
For model gliders, only a few functions are required in the standard equipment.
Motor ON OFF via switch - works
Throttle for FLAPs - works
Roll-, Elevator,- Rudder-flaps - works
SRXL bus and SUMD bus - works
MODE: Manual, AUTOTUNE, FWBA, Loiter, RTL - works
For RTL, “SET RALLY POINT” is also required - does not work.
All other functions are not required
This is a small application and should fit on the SpeedyBeeF405WingMini.
