Hi-
Trying to get my hex set up. I can connect to mavlink on my Mac using usb direct to the pixhawk. And i can connect my telemetry radio to my pixhawk from my android tablet. But for some reason, i can’t connect to the pixhawk using the telemetry radios on my Mac. I’m running APM planner 2.0. I only have two connection options when the radio is plugged in: “bluetooth-modem” and “bluetooth-incoming-port”. Neither one will let me to connect to the pixhawk over mavlink. I know all my hardware works because it’s fantastic using the Tower app on my tablet. But I’d like the option of connecting to my pixhawk using the usb port on my computer. Is there a driver that i need to download for my Mac to recognize the radio? Or am i doing something else wrong?
Thanks,
Eric
Problem solved. Downloaded driver from here: ftdichip.com/DRIVERS/VCP.htm.
Then I had to adjust the baud rate and I’m up and running.
What Mac app are you planning to use?

Hey when you look at the Adv. Settings screen on the 3DR Radio setup tab in APM 2.0, what does the 3DR radio plugged into the USB come up as?
I am having the same problem as you, I just see the APM USB connection and the Bluetooth devices I have paired with my Mac, but I do not see the 3DR radio link. Or maybe I am doing something wrong? Once you plug in the 3DR Radio into the USB and get the light a solid green, how do you connect in APM Planner?
On my system information screen the 3DR radio comes up as “CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller” but I do not see that option in the dropdown in APM planner.
I am on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10, what Mac are you using?
thanks!
