I have a hglrc zeus 800mw vtx. It seems to work fine but the range is a big issue.
After arming the video is fine but as I go even 40-50m away, the video gets a lot of interference. I am using a skydroid UVC reciever and the stock dipole antennas on both. Both antennas are vertical and all connectors are seated. The vtx is also at 800mw power. The vtx doesn’t heat up and I have mounted it on the arm with heatsinks.
So what is the cause of this? Poor antennas, low quality rx, or just a weak vtx?
I have watched many analog fpv videos and people get great range even with 600mw.
